MMA - Mixed Martial Arts Clinch work: Throwing light knees, getting into and out of the Muay Thai clinch, take-downs and take-down defense. Setting up: Take-downs with punches and feints. Attacking and defending on the ground: Using "ground and pound" and submissions to gain the advantage and be able to defend yourself when in a weak position. Mixing submission wrestling with the kickboxing program provides an excellent base for people interested in MMA sparring or for those who want to be able to defend themselves no matter where they are. The emphasis is always on safety. Along with all of the protective gear, we recommmend that each person have prior experience. If you don't have prior experience in kick boxing and submission wrestling, we recommend that you spend time learning the basics with us in both programs before MMA sparring.
